Product Overview:
Hicorpwell’s single-mode (SM2000D) and polarization-maintaining (PM2000D) fibers are designed for dispersion compensation applications in the 2μm band. Both the core glass composition (the main factor for material dispersion) and waveguide design (the main factor for waveguide dispersion) have been optimized to ensure the fiber exhibits negative dispersion within the 2μm wavelength range.
SM2000D and PM2000D fibers feature a core diameter of approximately 2μm, a numerical aperture of about 0.4, and a mode field diameter (MFD) of 4μm at 2μm. Its 125μm cladding diameter delivers excellent compatibility with active and passive fibers used in pre-amplifier stages, and the fiber can be easily processed with conventional cleaving and fusion splicing equipment. These dispersion-optimized fibers are particularly suitable for 2μm-band pulsed fiber lasers and fiber amplifiers.
